Historical Sites in Jamaica

The historical sites in Jamaica can be any traveler's dream. Its historical monuments and structures tell a story of their own. With its famous landmarks and popular historical places, Jamaica has lots to offer to its tourists.

Rose Hall Great House is one of the most famous and intriguing historical structures in Jamaica. The legend that surrounds Rose Hall and its infamous owner, Annie Palmer, is one that has fascinated generations of locals and visitors alike since its construction in 1770 by George Ash. 
 Port Royal is undoubtedly one of Jamaica's most captivating historical sites still standing today. During 17th century it was one of the largest towns in the English colony. The town was once a haven for buccaneers and pirates.

The Columbus Park in Discovery bay marks the spot where Columbus was said to have put his foot when he first came to Jamaica. It is decorated with cannons and maritime artifacts. This small park is a heavy tourist's gathering in Jamaica.
